Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer & Builder
I turn messy data problems into working systems. Automating what should be automated. Building what doesn’t exist yet. . .

01 — About
The person behind the query.
I’m Jazz — a data analyst in Singapore who turns messy problems into clean, working systems. My days are spent writing SQL, building Python automations, wiring up ETL pipelines, and making dashboards that people actually trust.
I believe the best data work is invisible — it just makes everything around it faster, clearer, and more honest. I’m not here to chase trends. I’m here to build things that hold up when you look under the hood.
What this site is for
A home base. A place to share work, track what I’m exploring, and put things out into the world. Not a portfolio template — a living site that evolves as I do.
Currently exploring
Markets (forex, equities), AI tooling for data workflows, physics rabbit holes, aviation, and the long game toward financial freedom, while impacting the world in meaningful ways.
02 — Featured Projects
Things I’ve built or shipped.
Work driven by real problems that needed solving. Some professional, some personal — all built with intention.
01
NL to SQL Assistant
An internal tool that translates natural language questions into SQL queries against our data warehouse. Lets non-technical teammates self-serve without waiting on the data team.
02
Automated Reporting & ETL
Replaced manual weekly reporting processes with end-to-end automated pipelines — extraction, transformation, delivery. Cut hours of analyst time and eliminated copy-paste errors.
03
Trading Signal Workflow
A personal project that pulls market data, runs technical indicators, and surfaces potential setups via automated alerts. Built for my own forex and equities analysis.
03 — Radar
Currently on my radar.
Things I’m reading about, tinkering with, or paying attention to. Not a roadmap — more of a scan.
Interesting Reads & RSS
Keeping a loose feed of blogs, papers, and long-form writing on data engineering, systems thinking, and quantitative finance.
Markets & Macro
Studying price action, macro flows, and systematic strategies. Treating forex and equities like a long-term data problem.
Hobbies & Rabbit Holes
Gaming, physics, aviation, music. The things that keep the curiosity engine running.
04 — Principles
What I believe.
Not a manifesto. Just the things I keep coming back to.
Build things that hold up under inspection.
Whether it’s a pipeline, a dashboard, or a personal project, if it can’t survive someone looking under the hood, it’s not done.
Clarity is more valuable than cleverness.
The best solution is the one that someone else can understand, maintain, and extend without calling you first.
Stay curious. Stay grounded.
Read widely. Build often. But don’t confuse motion with progress. The long game rewards patience and compounding.
Financial freedom is a data problem.
Earning, saving, investing, and building — treated with the same rigor as any other system. The goal isn’t wealth for its own sake. It’s options.
